Pilot Unharmed After Plane Skids Off Runway at East Hampton Airport
The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon.

A plane skidded off the runway at East Hampton Airport in Wainscott on Wednesday afternoon, according to East Hampton Town Police.
The pilot, 62-year-old David Bulgin, of Sag Harbor. was the only occupant of the aircraft–a Beechcraft Baron BE 58, according to police.
He landed on Runway 10-28 when there was an apparent landing gear malfunction, causing the plane to leave the runway, police said.

The plane sustained damage and had to be removed, but Bulgin was not injured, according to police.
The FAA will be conducting an investigation of the incident.
