Police: Southampton Man Charged With DWI

A Southampton man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and other moving vehicle infractions early Saturday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.

At about 4:40 a.m., on North Road, in Hampton Bays, Troy D. Pender, 24, was stopped after failing to maintain his lane, police said. A subsequent investigation determined he was drunk, police said.

Pender refused a pre-screening test, an infraction, and was transported to the Southampton Town Police Headquarters, police said.

He was arrested, processed and held for arraignment.
