Ross School Crowdfunds For Field Academy Trip
The goal is to make the trips available to all students.

EAST HAMPTON, NY — Parents at the Ross School want to be sure the much-anticipated Field Academy trip is accessible to all students — even those who depend upon financial aid.
To that end, the Ross Parents Association has kicked off a GoFundMe, "Help Send A Child On A Field Academy," that has raised $1,075 of its $8,000 goal.
"The Ross Field Academy department is committed to making these awe-inspiring trips available to all students, especially those who receive financial aid from the school. For these families, the cost of the trip is often prohibitive," the page states.

Last year, the department held a yard sale to raise these funds; this year, the fundraiser online was posted online to reach an even greater number of parents, the page said.
"The more money we raise, the more financial assistance kids will receive toward the cost of a Field Academy. $8,000 is needed by the Ross Field Academy department to ensure its fund can offer the most significant discounts," the page said, adding that 1005 of donations will be used to reduce the cost of a Field Academy trip for a student in need of assistance.
