Ross School Surfing Team Paddles Out Into Ocean Road Beach

Members of the Ross School surfing team, the Cosmos, recently got the chance to grab their boards and paddle out into the waves at Ocean Road Beach in Bridgehampton.

Shane Dyckman, owner of Flying Point Surf School, reintroduced surfing to Ross’s athletic roster last spring, “giving local and international students an opportunity to take advantage of the East End’s natural resources.”

Dyckman and his team of coaches emphasize the fundamentals of surfing and ocean safety with the students, and the sport’s popularity has exploded among both local and international students.
