Sag Harbor Kindergartners Learn About Trees
The students participated in several activities to learn about trees.

While the leaves outside their classroom window captivate many during the fall because of their bright colors, Sag Harbor Elementary School kindergartners are busy learning about all components of the trees as part of a science unit.
The little arborists in Nina Landi’s class are exploring root systems, tree names, life cycles and more through several projects, including a deciduous tree painting and sorting activity.
Students are also growing trees from acorns they found in the schoolyard.
