Sag Harbor Middle School Hosts Moving Up Ceremony

Congratulations to the Sag Harbor Class of 2019!

Members of the Sag Harbor Class of 2019 were honored at an eighth-grade moving up ceremony on June 24 at Pierson High School.

During the Sag Harbor Middle School ceremony, over 80 eighth-graders received graduation certificates with ten students honored with the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.

The ceremony also featured three student speakers Sophia Browning, Sophia Borzilleria and Emily Hallock, who spoke about the past, present and future respectively.

Also speaking to the Class of 2019 was Pierson High School’s Class of 2015 valedictorian Clara Oppenheimer, who shared valuable insight about life in the high school.

In congratulating the students, Middle/High School Principal Jeff Nichols told the students to always try their best as they enter into high school.
