Sept. 11 Memorial Service To Be Held At Hook Mill Green
The community is invited to attend the memorial starting at 6 p.m.

East Hampton emergency workers will observe Sept. 11 with a memorial held on the Hook Mill green Thursday starting at 6 p.m. East Hampton Star reports.
The community is invited to attend the service.
The observance, organized by Allen Bennett, president of the East Hampton Fire Chiefs Association and the first assistant chief of the Amagansett Fire Department, will include a prayer from Rev. Steven Howarth, a volunteer with the Amagansett Fire Department. East Hampton Village Mayor Paul F. Rickenbach Jr. and Town Supervisor Larry Cantwell will also speak at the observance, according to East Hampton Star.

The Montauk, Amagansett, Springs, East Hampton, Sag Harbor, and Bridgehampton Fire Departments, the East Hampton Village Volunteer Ambulance Assocation and the Sag Harbor Volunteer Ambulance Corps will be represented, along with the East Hampton Town and Village and Sag Harbor Village Police Departments, according to East Hampton Star.
Wreaths provided by firefighters and emergency medical service providers, will be offered in remembrance of the nearly 3,000 people who died in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

In case of rain, the service will be held at the East Hampton Emergency Services Building on Cedar Street.
