SOUTH FORK, NY — Good news for commuters: The Long Island Rail Road is scheduled to conclude track work on Sunday in the East Hampton village area — and the South Fork Commuter Connection train service will be back on track Monday.

Due to the track work, bus service has been provided east of the Southampton LIRR station since
mid-October, but normal SFCC service and Hampton Hopper shuttle service from train stations
in East Hampton to designated stops near workplaces will resume on Monday, officials said.

The South Fork Commuter Connection was launched in March to help workers get to and from
South Fork destinations and avoid traffic delays. The service has grown three times in popularity
since its inception, East Hampton Town officials said.
