State 114 in East Hampton Village to Be Repaved

Work should begin later this year.

State Route 114 in the Village of East Hampton will be repaved later this year, Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. (I, D, WF-Sag Harbor) recently announced.

The road will be repaved from the intersection with Stephen Hands Path southeast to its terminus with State Road 27.

The project will consist of removing the worn top layer of pavement from all travel lanes and shoulders and installing a new asphalt riding surface.

Funding for this project is included in an accelerated $75 million allocation to repair widespread road damage from deep frost this winter.

According to Thiele he had lobbied for this repaving project twice, sending letters to the New York State Department of Transportation in August 2014 and January 2015.
