MONTAUK, NY — Young winners of a science competition were chosen in Montauk recently, given the nod for their hard work.
Concerned Citizens of Montauk and the Montauk School teamed up to present the 2018 Montauk School Science Fair, and on Friday, the winners were announced.
More than 100 student projects were evaluated and scored by a panel of 18 judges representing regional science and environmental organizations such as the Peconic Estuary Program, The Nature Conservancy, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Suffolk County, South Fork Natural History Museum, and the Peconic Baykeeper, CCOM said.
