Thomas Moran Trust to Host Summer Benefit

The Thomas Moran Trust will be hosting its summer benefit cocktail party this Saturday.

The event will be held on June 20 at the home of Pietro and Katherine Nivola on Old Stone Highway in Springs.

In the Artist’s Garden, the theme of the fund-raiser, pays homage to artists of the burgeoning summer colony.

The setting for this year’s event will be the studio and home of the late Costantino and Ruth Nivola, modernists of the East End art scene from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Proceeds will benefit the ongoing campaign to restore the Thomas and Mary Nimmo Moran Studio – early members of the summer art colony of the late-19th century.
