“It is a beautiful community with a unique character and a very special quality of life,” Creegan said. “We are happy to share this magical place with our visitors and guests and encourage everyone when they visit to please respect the beauty and character of Montauk, a place we call home.”

The community recently got together to find solutions to the discourteous and illegal behaviors taking place recently in the late night hours on weekends, according to the Chamber.

“The Chamber is addressing the comfort and safety concerns of its residents and visitors by continuing to update its hospitality business members about town codes and by facilitating ongoing communication between business owners, visitors, residents and local government,” Paul Monte, president of the Chamber said. “Additionally, the Chamber supports East Hampton Town Supervisor Cantwell as well as the members of the Town Board and the East Hampton Town Police in ensuring adequate police presence and enforcement efforts for town code violations as is necessary.”
