Bicyclist in Critical Condition After Hit-and-Run Accident

UNIONDALE, NY - A 61-year-old bicyclist is listed in critical but stable condition after being hit by a car in Uniondale early Sunday morning, according to Nassau Police.

The man was riding his bicycle eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue west of Union Drive at about 12:45 a.m. when he was hit by a large car driving eastbound on Jerusalem Avenue.

The car fled the scene, continuing eastbound.

The man suffered serious injuries including multiple fractures, police said.
