Book and Movie Discussion – The Scarlet Pimpernel

May 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM - Join us as we discuss The Scarlet Pimpernel at an East Meadow Public Library Zoom meeting.

The Scarlet Pimpernel, by Baroness Emmuska Orczy, is the original masked hero adventure story. During the French Revolution, a secret society of English gentlemen is formed by the enigmatic Scarlet Pimpernel to rescue their fellow French nobility. This timeless novel of adventure, intrigue, and romance is sparked by one man’s defiance in the face of authority.

The eBook version of The Scarlet Pimpernel can be accessed through the Nassau Digital Doorway.

We would like patrons to watch the movie but it is not required for the discussion. The film can be watched anytime before May 15th. Several film adaptations have been made of the Scarlet Pimpernel. There are multiple options for viewing the movie.
