Anime Movie Club: Anime Double Feature

Due to the wide interest in anime, East Meadow Public Library has begun a new anime series, meeting once a month. Kelly Gordon, anime artist, will lead the sessions. The program will include films, anime episodes and discussions.

Everyone is welcome. This is for all ages.

Rated: 13+
Running Time: 25 - 30 min. per episode

Rurouni Kenshin ( Samurai X ) Himura Kenshin is a vagabond with a dark past and sunny disposition. Not a ronin but a rurouni. He was never a samurai, but an assassin of utmost skill in the Meiji restoration. At the turning point of the war he walks away. His travels lead him to Tokyo, where he meets a female Kendo. Together they fight the enemies from Kenshin’s dark past. (6 to 7:30 p.m.)

TriGun (7:30 to 9 p.m.)
“Vash the Stampede” is a gunman on the run with a 60 billion double dollar bounty on his head. He can’t go anywhere without being chased and shot. Every town he visits is destroyed because of his pursuers, but miraculously no one gets killed. This spikey haired, gangly young man is extremely friendly, a pacifist, hates blood, absolutely loves donuts, is a dork and a crybaby (far from a feared outlaw).
