CCAN's "Strides for Stripes" 5K Zebra Walk

The Carcinoid Cancer Awareness Network (CCAN) holds its 2nd Annual  "Strides for Stripes" 5K Zebra Walk on Nov. 6, at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow. Registration begins at 10:00am. The CCAN is an organization devoted to raising awareness and finding a cure for carcinoid and neuroendocrine cancers.

The New York Islanders' Ice Team will join CCAN for the Zebra Walk.  The Ice Team will supply loads of fun and excitement with a slap shot game, prize wheel and moon bounce.

All proceeds from this walk will be used to support awareness projects and for carcinoid/NET research. Registration fee of $20 (free under 13) includes a walk T-shirt, an energy bar and a water bottle. Walkers can have friends and family sponsor them, and will receive prizes for raising as little as $20.
