County Executive Edward Mangano, in conjunction with Salisbury Golf & Learning Center and the Metropolitan PGA, will be hosting a day of free golf at Eisenhower Park's Driving Range on May 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Besides the free golf, there will also be golf lessons, club fittings, displays, demonstrations and much more.
“This is a great event for golfers as they prepare for the 2011 playing season,” said Mangano in a recent press release. “We’re providing free playing time on one of the finest driving ranges in this area, along with the opportunity to get some pointers from the pros. The event will follow on the heels of the Long Island Marathon and marks the start of an event-filled spring and summer in our parks.”
