The Cultural Arts Playhouse Young People's Theatre in Plainview will perform Jonathan Larson's Pulitzer-prize-winning Broadway musical "Rent." The musical, which is loosely based on the Puccini opera "La Bohème, follows a year in the lives of seven friends living a Bohemian lifestyle. The Playhouse is located at 625 Old Country Rd in Plainview.
Performances: Feb. 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27. Dates and times vary as follows:
