This half marathon (5K) is the first race of the Women's Running Series. Its slogan is "A running weekend for mothers, wives, daughters and sisters and the men who love them." This race will be on Oct. 3, at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.
After running the course, participants will enjoy loads of festivities including shiny medals that can be personalized with a photo, champagne, and dancing. Receive a rose from a fireman as reward for your accomplishment. The Post Race Celebration will feature fun events like a health & fitness boutique, Girls' 5K, movie in the park, a concert, and a bachelor auction. All participants will receive a ladies tech shirt and goodie bags filled with women-only product samples. Everyone who completes this USAT&F-certified event will receive an official Finisher's Certificate.
