The work of local sculptor Russ Sacco will be displayed for the month of January in the East Meadow Public Library's Browsing Room cases. Mr. Sacco will give a presentation on Feb. 2 at 12:30 p.m. Special guest will be Will Hutchens, a subject of Russ' work and star of the 1957-1961 western TV series "Sugarfoot".
Mr. Sacco creates one-of-a-kind portrait figures he calls "Personificlaytions." According to an EMPL press release, he draws his inspiration from famous, historical or Biblical people. Mr. Sacco was recently featured in the Art Buzz 2011 Collection.
