The Town of Hempstead's Mobile Passport Shop will be at the East Meadow Library for your convenience on Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Town of Hempstead will process and forward your application to Passport Services on the day you apply.
The photo fee is $5.00. Passport fees are determined by type of passport and age of applicant. Acceptable forms of payment are personal checks or money orders. Please bring more than one check. You must also bring acceptable proof of United States citizenship (previous passport or birth certificate) and proof of identity (previous passport or valid driver's license). Generally, anyone applying for a passport must appear in person.
Normally, you can expect your passport to arrive within 6 weeks. Expedited service is available from the State Department for an additional fee.
