George Falconer, an English professor in L.A., has lost his long-time partner in a car accident. His partner's family wasn't going to inform him or allow him to attend the funeral. In his grief, George decides to commit suicide. We follow him as he goes through his day and meets many people who affect his thoughts on his decisions.
