The Muttontow Preserve, located south of 25a on Muttontown Lane in East Norwich, will be holding a "Hike Muttontown from End to End" event on Mar. 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
This is a chance for local residents to take a vigorous five to six mile walk through the beautiful lower portion of the preserve. The walk will go through areas with ponds, fresh water marshland, open fields and past the Nassau Hall. Muttontown Preserve is 550 acres of woodlands, ponds and fields. It is also one of Nassau County's largest nature preserves. The walk will begin at the Bill Paterson Nature Center.
