This year’s Long Island Magic Arts Convention (LIMAC), is happening on April 2nd, 2011. You will be astonished with the amazing acts coming from all over the county. Brought to you by John Reid and Tricky Business (Located at 2590 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow New York), this evening of magic will be something the whole family can enjoy.
This year’s acts include Tom Burgoon, Elliot Zimet, Derek Hughes, David Garrity, and Eric Jones. David Garrity is a grand illusionist from Connecticut; from the Bronx New York Elliot Zimet is a master of stage manipulation; Tom Burgoon from Missouri performs stand up comedy magic that will have you in stitches; Derek Hughes will be the MC for the evening as well as performing close up magic throughout the day; and Eric Jones from Virginia will be performing close up sleight of hand magic; he will also be heading the close up magic show in the afternoon.
As well as having a night that will astound you and leave you mystified by some of the best magicians in the country, you will also be donating to a great cause. Proceeds from the evening of magic will be donated to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation from LIMAC. For those of you who want more then just a show, then come down for the convention which starts at 10 am. There will be dealers selling all different types of magic, from small pocket tricks to expertly carved wooden effects. There will also be two magic lectures where you get to learn magic from the professionals, as well as a junior parlor magic competition, and a close up show extravaganza. Ticket prices for the entire day (this includes the night show) are $70, if you wish to only join for the magic show ticket prices are $20 for adults and $10 for children. The show starts at promptly at 7:15pm, but you can go to the dealer’s room one hour prior to the show.
