The Town of Hempstead's 14th annual Make a Difference Awards Ceremony will be held on Nov. 9 at 7 pm in the Nathan L.H. Bennett Pavilion at Hempstead Town Hall, 1 Washington St., Hempstead. Each year the town recognizes some of its most extraordinary citizens who have demonstrated the spirit of volunteerism in a most unselfish and giving manner.
This year, 12 such citizens will be honored. They have not sought any recognition for their good deeds, making them exemplary candidates for the Town of Hempstead Make a Difference Award. They will be recognized for the differences they have made in our community and for enriching the lives of those they helped. Town residents are encouraged to join Supervisor Kate Murray and attend the ceremony to recognize these worthy honorees.
