A "Welcome Back Warriors" All-Veterans Job Fair will be held on Oct. 4 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morelly Center for Homeland Security at 510 Grumman Rd West in Bethpage. Co-sponsored by Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano and Representative Steve Israel, the fair welcomes all veterans seeking employment opportunities and career counseling.
"Help us help those who defended our freedom by calling today to participate. Be that business that helps a local veteran land that first job when they return home," said Mangano. "We must never forget these brave men and women."
Participating employers include Astoria Federal Savings, National Grid, New York Life, North Shore-LIJ, and the NYS Department of Labor. Advisors will address questions related to the G.I. Bill and will provide interview skills improvement, resume writing instruction, and career counseling.
