Come to the Muttontown Preserve on Apr. 17 and partake in a guided nature walk. The hike will give participants the opportunity to see the reemerging life that spring brings every year. Walkers will be able to see snowdrops, cypress spurge and learn about the plant life in the preserve.
Muttontown preserve is about 550 acres that includes fields, woodlands and ponds, as well as some estate grounds. It is one of the largest preserves in the county and houses many local mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, plants and trees.
Registration is required by calling (516) 571-8500 on weekdays. Admission for the hike is $5 and participants will meet at the Bill Paterson Nature Center.
