Young Adults: "Willem de Kooning - Painting Through Life" - A Hands-On Workshop on Abstract Art

Teens will have an opportunity to explore the world of abstract art and paint their very own masterpiece using high-end materials and canvases. This unique 90-minute program will provide teens with the opportunity to participate in fun hands-on activities that nurture their confidence and stimulate their innate creative abilities. The life, art and inspiration of the abstract expressionist Willem de Kooning will serve as the focus of this workshop. This workshop is limited to 20 teens in grades 7 to 12. Registration begins Nov. 2. This program was made possible through the Long Island Children's Museum with a grant from The Willem de Kooning Foundation.
