Families Can Add Names Of 9/11 Victims To Memorial

Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island will add the names of any victims to its memorial for free.

LONG ISLAND, NY — Catholic Cemeteries of Long Island is offering the families of victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, or those who have lost family members to 9/11-related illnesses, to have their loved ones names added to the organization's memorial.

Catholic Cemeteries has a memorial to the Long Island victims of the 9/11 attacks at the Cemetery of the Holy Rood in Westbury. It currently has the names of more than 400 people who perished in the attacks.

With the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks approaching, Catholic Cemeteries is offering the chance for people to have new names added to the memorial. If you have a loved one who was killed in the attacks, or who died from 9/11-related illness in the years since, they can be added to the memorial at no cost.
