Man Arrested After Causing Car Crash that Hurt Woman, Cop: Police
BREAKING: Police say the man was speeding and high at the time of the crash.

A Freeport man was arrested after he caused a three-car pileup on Hempstead Turnpike in East Meadow on Tuesday that injured two drivers, including a Nassau County cop, police say.
According to police, Patrick Ryan Kelly, 31, of West End Avenue, was speeding east on Hempstead Turnpike at 9:07 p.m. when he struck the rear of a 2007 Toyota stopped at a red light at the intersection of Hempstead Turnpike and Franklin Avenue, causing it to then strike the rear of a First Precinct Patrol Car that was escorting a Nassau County Police Ambulance.
Both the Police Officer and the 53-year-old female driver of the Toyota were transported to a local hospital and treated for neck and back pain. Kelly was arrested and also taken to the hospital. He was admitted and is being treated for a cut to his head along with neck and back pain. The investigation is ongoing.
