Nassau Police Seeking Info About Midday Shooting

A man was shot at by an acquaintance in the middle of the afternoon, and police are seeking more information from the public.

Nassau County Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in Westbury Thursday afternoon, and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

According to police, a 37-year-old man was meeting with an acquaintance in front of a home on State Street in Westbury at 2:20 p.m. Thursday. Police say the acquaintance, who was on a bicycle, pulled out a gun and fired several shots at the man, all of which missed. Both the victim and the shooter then fled the scene.

Police say the shooter was a man about 20 years old.
