After 5 Years Surviving Outdoors, LI Cat Hopes For A Place To Call Home
Shelter staff said he deserves a home where he feels safe and loved after "surviving on his own for so long."
PORT WASHINGTON, NY — After spending the first five years of his life surviving outdoors on his own, Tyger is looking for a place to call home.
The creamsicle-colored cat was found in a veterinarian's yard and is now staying at Bianca's Furry Friends at North Shore Animal League America's Port Washington campus, where he is awaiting adoption.
Shelter staff said Tyger can be cautious in new situations after "surviving on his own for so long," and it has taken him time to learn to trust people again.
