Pair Arrested for Serial Check Fraud Across Nassau County: Police
BREAKING: Police say the duo were cashing fraudulent checks all over the area.

The Nassau police arrested two people early Wednesday and charged them with serial check fraud.
According to Crimes Against Property detectives, Tyshawn I. Roberts, 28, no known address, was stopped while driving on Merrick Avenue in East Meadow at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday for a vehicle and traffic law violation. During their investigation, the officers said they discovered that Roberts was involved in multiple cases of check fraud throughout Nassau County.
Police say that Roberts, along with Teirra McDavis, 27, of East Fulton Street, Long Beach, had deposited fraudulent checks into numerous accounts of TD Bank and Bethpage Federal Credit Union and then withdrew the funds from the accounts. At the time of his arrest, police say Roberts was in possession of 10 forged credit cards, one forged check and oxycodone pills.

McDavis was placed under arrest later on Wednesday at the First Precinct in Baldwin.
Roberts is charged with four counts of third degree grand larceny and 11 counts of second degree possession of a forged instrument. McDavis is charged with two counts of third degree grand larceny.

Both defendants were arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
