Police: Man Drove Drunk With 5-Year-Old in the Car
Incident happened early Monday in East Meadow, cops said.

A Suffolk County man was arrested Monday after he drove drunk with a child in the front seat in East Meadow, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said James Calabrese, 45, of Deer Park, was driving west on Hempstead Turnpike at 4:45 a.m. when he failed to signal and stay in his lane.
Police pulled Calabrese over and arrested him after discovering he was drunk at the wheel, cops said.

Calabrese had an unnamed woman in the front passenger seat and a 5-year-old girl in the back seat of the car, police said.
Three packets of suboxone, an opioid often used for pain and to treat opioid addiction, were found inside the car, cops said.

Calabrese was charged with DWAI, aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child under 15 years old, three counts of first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, operation without an interlock court order, two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation, and three traffic violations.
Court records show Calabrese has been repeatedly charged with driving under the influence, according to Newsday. He was reportedly arrested in October 2007 for aggravated DWI and in April 2008 for felony DWI.
Calabrese will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
