Police Recover Van Stolen From Nassau Family's Driveway
The van had been modified to allow the transportation of the family's disabled son.

A van stolen from the driveway of a home in Hempstead in May was found and returned to its owner on Wednesday, police said.
According to police, a woman parked her 2007 Chrysler Town & Country van in the driveway of her home on Byrd Street on May 20 at 8 p.m. The next morning, she discovered the van had been stolen. The car had been modified to allow her to transport her disabled son.
First Precinct police officers recovered the van on Sunday, June 11 at 9:25 a.m. on Sally Court in East Meadow. It was returned to the owner on Wednesday.

The investigation is still ongoing. Police ask anyone with information about the crime to contact Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
