Purim Party with a Purpose to be Held in Honor and in Memory of Tiny Superheroes

Purim Party with a Purpose - little kids making BIG differences

EMJC’s Young Adult Division (YAD) and Sisterhood, 1400 Prospect Avenue, invite you to the 5th annual Purim Party with a PURPOSE on Sunday, March 20th from 10am to 12pm.

The Purim event is geared toward children under 5 years old. Popular performers Darlene Graham, Clowns.com/Professional Kids Entertainment, Zumba by Tracy Ellis, and others, are generously donating their time and talents. There will be arts & crafts, face-painting, silent auction, raffles, vendors: RS Dubs Ribbons, Younique, Sprinkles & Sparkles Apparel, Perfectly Posh, Stella & Dot, and more.

All proceeds raised will go to worthy causes identified by three local families. Proceeds in memory of Adam Lefkowitz will go to a The Steffens Foundation for Degos awareness and research. Proceeds in Memory of Zachary Merlin will go to Angela’s House, a local agency providing intensive services to medically fragile children so that they can remain at home or in a home-like setting. Both boys were from North Bellmore. Proceeds in Honor of Zachary Goldminz, the 8 year old nephew of East Meadow residents who is undergoing treatment for Ewing’s Sarcoma, will go to 1 Million 4 Anna, an organization whose mission is to eradicate Ewing’s Sarcoma and support youth and families impacted by the disease.

Minimum donation of $20/family can be pre-paid or paid at the door – and contributions would be greatly appreciated from those who cannot attend (Make checks payable to: East Meadow Jewish Center, Memo: ‘Purim with a Purpose’).
