Police: Teen Robs Hicksville 7-Eleven With Rifle

The incident occurred early Saturday.

This teen didn’t get the memo that it was free slurpee day at 7-Eleven stores.

An armed 16-year-old robbed a 7-Eleven in Hicksville, located at 384 W. John St., early Saturday morning, police said.

According to authorities, Alfredo Uribe entered the store, pointed a rifle, later found to be a BB gun rifle, at the cashier and demanded cash at 5:01 a.m. The suspect fled the scene on foot with an undetermined amount of cash, cigarettes and cigars.

A witness contacted police and responding officers saw the suspect fleeing the scene and placed him under arrest after a short foot pursuit.

Uribe was charged with second degree robbery, criminal use of a firearm and criminal possession of stolen property. He will be arraigned on Sunday at First District Court in Hempstead.
