View Finder: A Snowy Look at Speno Memorial Park

Edward J. Speno Memorial Park is a great place for families during the summertime.

When the snow finally melts and the days get warmer, is a great place to take your families. Located in East Meadow since 1987, the park includes tennis courts, basketball courts, a playground, and baseball fields. The park also has restrooms and food services for it's guests. The park is open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Some features of the park are currently closed due to icing, but it still makes for a nice place to go to relax and clear your head.

Editor's Note: This park touches extremely close to home for me. When I was seven, my grandfather taught me how to ride a bike at Speno Park. Shortly thereafter, he died of cancer. It was one of the fonder memories we had together, and is one reason why the park will always have a special place in my heart.
