• Surveyor Rescued After Leg Injury in Fallsburg Woods (shawangunkjournal.com) — Emergency crews from Fallsburg and nearby departments helped rescue a 65-year-old surveyor who suffered a leg injury while working in the Town of Fallsburg woods on September 18. Forest rangers stabilized his leg, then local firefighters and deputies wheeled him out to an ambulance, which took him to the hospital in under 90 minutes.
