So this is my first blog entry of which I hope will be the first of many. Since I'm new to this I'm just gonna write a little bit about myself. Plain and simple.
I'm 18 years old and have been living in Farmingdale my whole life. In about 2 weeks I'll be graduating Farmingdale High School and for the next 4 years I will be attending SUNY Albany. At Albany, I plan on majoring in journalism. I've always been fascinated by journalism and writing. Ever since I was little I would always be reading the newspaper.
In high school, I was the sports editor for the Paper Lion, the schools newspaper. I want to continue to write a lot over the summer before I go away to Albany, so I figured why not write on the Farmingdale Patch. I've always been a fan/user of this site, so it's gonna be pretty cool writing on it.

I'm a huge sports fan, so I'll probably be writing a lot about sports on here. I played 2 years on varsity lacrosse and was even a part of the team that won the state championship back in last June. Besides writing about sports I would also like to write about other issues going on in the community.
I am happy I'm a part of this blog and I'm looking forward to writing many blogs for the Patch!
