Long Island High School Students Participate In Scavenger Hunt With Illegal Activities

The scavenger hunt was reportedly held this week. See the full list of activities below.

Farmingdale High School students apparently participated in an annual senior class scavenger hunt that included several illegal or inappropriate tasks earlier this week, according to a list obtained by Patch.

A Farmingdale resident who wished to remain anonymous told Patch that on Wednesday at about 8:15 p.m. near Main Street and Route 109 she witnessed six girls in one car driving recklessly. She then witnessed the girls going down a dead end and getting out of the car with two of the girls only wearing thong underwear.

The girls were running around the street and drinking what appeared to be beer, according to the local resident.

The resident then called police and were told that they were going to send a patrol car.

"I'm still in disbelief over this happening," the resident told Patch. "Like I have said I'm all for kids having fun, but this is just beyond insane. I know people are saying to bring it up with the school. But it's not a school issue in my opinion."

A scavenger list allegedly being used by the Farmingdale students was posted onto a Facebook page. The list does not state whether it was specific to Farmingdale students.

According to the list, participants had to "eat a worm" just to obtain the list, which included a total of 23 tasks.

A total of five tasks were deemed "mandatory," including "get a receipt for 30 cents in gas paid in cash," "[perform a sex act] on a cucumber with a condom on it," "eat a stick of butter," "kiss a teammate's parent," and "smack a teammate in the face with a tuna fish."

Participants then received points for doing things such as "break a windshield," "knock on someone's door naked" and "take 5 shots in 10 seconds."

The school district could not be reached for comment. It is unknown if they were aware of the scavenger hunt.

It's not the first time a Long Island high school has made headlines for a lewd scavenger hunt.
