Farmingdale Man Involved in Fatal Crash May Get Steeper Sentence After Recent Arrest

Cory Gloe was arrested less than one week after he pleaded guilty to his involvement in the 2014 crash that killed five of his friends.

A Farmingdale man who pleaded guilty March 10 to a 17-count indictment in connection to a 2014 crash that killed five of his teenage friends could reportedly face a steeper sentence after he was arrested again Tuesday night.

Cory Gloe, 19, was charged with third degree criminal possession of a weapon less than one week after he pleaded guilty to to a 17-count indictment in connection to the 2014 crash.

As part of a plea deal, he was committed by a judge to serve a sentence of six months in jail and five years of probation in addition to being granted a youthful offender status.

This arrest, however, could lead to Gloe receiving a harsher sentence after breaking the law before his sentencing, News 12 reports.
Gloe, who will not receive his punishment until his May 22 sentencing date, remains in jail without bail and faces a maximum sentence of 22 years in prison, according to Newsday.
