'Farmingdale Remembers' 9/11 Victims With Ceremony
The annual observance will honor those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

FARMINGDALE, NY — The annual "Farmingdale Remembers" event is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the Farmingdale Public Library, the Farmingdale Community Summit announced.
The ceremony is slated to start at 6:30 p.m., but people are asked to gather half an hour prior.
"As the 21st anniversary of September 11 approaches, our thoughts are once again with all those
who lost loved ones on that tragic morning," the summit wrote in a statement. "We remember the names, faces, and lives of the men, women, and children who were killed, and look for ways to ensure that each and every one of them is not forgotten. The Farmingdale Community Summit invites you to join us in remembering September 11 and all that this day means."

"The Farmingdale Community Summit Council encourages all residents of the community to
participate in the brief ceremony to honor and remember those who perished and those we lost
from exposure to health hazards at Ground Zero, to pay tribute to those who served so
unselfishly in the recovery operation, and to show our continued support for all those who were
affected by the events of 9/11/01," the summit wrote.
