Kimco Realty Launches Back-to-School Shopping Contest

Facebook promotion offers customers a chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree at Airport Plaza in Farmingdale.

Kimco Realty Corp. has launched a new back-to-school sweepstakes on its Airport Plaza Facebook page, giving Airport Plaza customers the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree for any stores in the Farmingdale center.

“The goal of this sweepstakes is to delight and engage shoppers,” said Diane Agostinello, director of marketing and leasing services at Kimco. “...Our social media strategies—from blogging to Facebook to Twitter and beyond—are continuing to open lines of communication between Kimco and its core audiences.”

The sweepstakes is the first of several Facebook promotions and contests that Kimco plans to roll out in the coming months. Over the past year, Kimco has launched 10 Facebook pages for the company and its properties across the country.

The sweepstakes is open to all legal U.S. residents over the age of 18. It runs Aug. 20, 2012, to Sept. 20, 2012. To enter and to read the full sweepstakes rules, visit Kimco’s Airport Plaza Facebook page. There is no purchase necessary to enter the sweepstakes. Kimco will announce the winner on the Airport Plaza Facebook page.

Airport Plaza is located at Route 110 and Conklin Street in Farmingdale, N.Y. Retailers include Bed Bath & Beyond, PetSmart, Joyce Leslie, Modell’s Sporting Goods, Staples, Home Depot, and RadioShack, to name just a few.
