Cory Gloe Could Face Re-Sentencing in Fatal Street Racing Crash After Recent Arrest
The 20-year-old was arrested this time for firing a shotgun into the air in his Farmingdale yard while a child was nearby, police say.

UPDATED at 1:33 p.m.:
A 20-year-old Farmingdale man who was sentenced to six months in jail earlier this year for his involvement in a 2014 crash that killed five teens and seriously injured two adults is under investigation by Nassau County court after he was arrested again Wednesday night, police say.
Cory Gloe could be re-sentenced if he violated his five-year probationary and revocable sentence from his recent arrest, according to Nassau County court spokesman Daniel Bagnuola.

"The Court will consider Mr. Gloe’s present circumstance and take appropriate future action as necessary and warranted," Bagnuola said in a statement. "If, after a hearing, the probationer is found to be in violation of the conditions of his probationary sentence, he will be subject to re-sentencing."
According to authorities, neighbors told officers they observed Gloe fire a 12-gauge shotgun in his Tomes Avenue yard at around 9:30 p.m. A neighbor then told police she also saw Gloe fire the shotgun into the air at 5 p.m. when she was in her yard with her 3-year-old daughter.

Officers arrived to the scene to find Gloe and two friends, a 20-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, sitting in the yard and saw numerous shotgun shells on the ground, police say. The woman in the yard told officers that Gloe put the shotgun in the trunk of her car, which was in front of the home, police say.
Police recovered the weapon and placed Gloe under arrest without incident. He was charged with two counts of prohibited used of a weapon, two counts of first-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child.
Gloe had several run-ins with the law this year. He was granted youthful offender status at his May sentencing for the fatal crash and was told by a judge to not “waste his life,” according to Newsday.
Days after Gloe pleaded guilty in Nassau County Court in Febuary, he was arrested again after authorities issued a traffic stop on a vehicle Gloe was in and found a “Gravity Knife” in plain view, police say. The charges were later dropped, Syracuse.com reports.
Prosecutors also asked judges to consider the Instagram post Gloe made, in which he was reportedly mocking cops outside the courtroom at his court date in March, when serving his sentence. Gloe posted a selfie outside Nassau County Court with an expletive-filled caption, according to Syracuse.com.
Gloe will be arraigned for his most recent charges Thursday at First District Court in Hempstead.
