Main Street Pizza Company Celebrates Ribbon Cutting
The pizza joint officially joined Farmingdale, and it hopes to offer residents something different. More photos inside story.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Main Street Pizza Company, Farmingdale's newest pizzeria, officially joined the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony during its grand opening on Tuesday afternoon.
The new pizza place's address is 302 Main St., at the site of where Uncle Tony's was. David Fabrizi, the owner of Main Street Pizza Company, acknowledged the stiff pizzeria competition in the community, but is excited and feels his business will introduce something different — something no one has seen in the area.
"We’re taking a combination of old world pizza techniques and a modern twist on the culinary aspect of it," Fabrizi told Patch. "We do a lot of takes and twists on the normal, everyday pizza and give it a little kick."

One example is the Chicken Parmigiana slice. Main Street Pizza chops up house-made mozzarella sticks and uses that "instead of just some cheese," Fabrizi said.
Other specialty slices include Philly Cheese Steak, Big Mac, Buffalo Chicken, BBQ Chicken Bacon Ranch, Grandma, Vegetable, Margherita, White and White w/ Spinach.

Customers can also order chicken, spinach or pepperoni rolls. There's also traditional pizzeria fare such as calzones, salads, appetizers, soups, heros and pasta.
