Nassau Man Burglarized His Neighbor's Homes: Police
Police say he was responsible for multiple burglaries last month, all targeting homes on or near the block he lived.

Nassau police arrested a Farmingdale man on Tuesday and charged him with breaking into the homes of his neighbors and robbing them.
According to police, John Stehle, 43, of Nelson Street, broke into the homes of his neighbors on Nelson Street multiple times in the month of March, stealing jewelry and cash from them. Police say he was responsible for the following burglaries:
- March 1 – 48 Nelson Street
- March 5 – 55 Nelson Street
- March 14 – 63 Duane Street
- March 20 – 45 Nelson Street (Attempt)
Police also say that, between March 25, 2016 and March 25, 2018, Stehle stole jewelry and cash from the owner of the home he was renting space in.

Police located Stehle in Lindenhurst on Tuesday and placed him under arrest without incident.
Stehle is charged with three counts of second-degree burglary, second-degree attempted burglary and third-degree grand larceny. He is scheduled to be arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Wednesday.
