Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Two Cars

The 66-year-old was struck twice while crossing the street Saturday night.

BETHPAGE, NY - A 66-year-old Farmingdale woman died after being struck by two cars while crossing the street in Bethpage on Saturday, according to Nassau Police.

Swinderpal Kaur was first struck by a 2008 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 39-year-old man while attempting to cross Hempstead Turnpike southbound near Emerson Avenue at about 5:07 p.m., police said.

She was then struck by a second vehicle, a 2008 Honda CRV driven by a 24-year-old man.

Both of the cars were traveling straight in an eastbound direction.

As a result of the crash, the woman suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead by a Wantagh-Levittown Volunteer Ambulance Corps. EMT.

Both of the drivers remained at scene. The vehicles were brake and safety tested.
