The gardens spread for acres east of Route 110 in Farmingdale.
were founded by William Locke Jr. with the intention of creating a place where people could find peaceful solitude and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Since then, the center has evolved into one of Long Island's most attractive memorials in remembrance of those who have passed away.
Today, Pinelawn takes pride in preserving and honoring Locke's vision by carefully maintaining the Farmingdale grounds and attentively preserving the mausoleums. The Garden Mausoleums feature creative architectural styles and contain pristine burial tombs where visitors can sit and absorb the peaceful environment.
The cemeteries grounds are open daily to visitors from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
