Police Seeking Man Who Robbed Lindenhurst Bank
The robbery occurred on Thursday evening.

Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a robbery that occurred on Thursday evening at a Lindenhurst bank.
A man entered Capital One, located at 300 South Wellwood Avenue, approached a teller at approximately 5:40 p.m. and passed a note announcing a robbery, according to the Suffolk County Pattern Crime Unit.
The teller complied with the robber’s demands and gave him cash from the drawer, police said.

The robber fled on foot south on South Wellwood and is described as a man in his 40s, between 5’8” and 5’10” tall, wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
